About the role
At Data4Green, we use smart data to simplify ESG challenges and help businesses decarbonize, stay compliant, and remain profitable. As an ESG Freelancer specialising in real estate, you'll be our go-to expert on portfolio performance. You will use the data collected by our team to navigate reporting frameworks, translate complex metrics into clear client deliverables. Identify improvement opportunities across portfolios, all with a rigorous, data-driven mindset. You'll work closely with both our clients and our internal team to make sure every asset we cover is accurate, complete, and ready for analysis.
What about you :
- You're a real estate ESG specialist, you know the sector's frameworks, constraints, and rhythms.
- You can transform portfolio data (energy consumption, carbon footprint, water use, social indicators...) into actionable insights.
- You spot reporting gaps and optimisation opportunities just by looking at the data.
- You're rigorous enough to translate what you find into clean, structured deliverables.
- You communicate well with asset managers, sustainability teams, and internal colleagues alike.
- You're autonomous, organised, and comfortable managing your own project scope and deadlines.
Job Requirements :
- Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Real Estate, or a related field
- More than 3 years of hands-on ESG experience in the real estate sector (asset management, listed property companies, or consultancy).
- Solid understanding of real estate ESG frameworks: EU Taxonomy, CSRD, SFDR, GRESB...
- Ability to collect, structure, and analyse ESG performance data (energy, carbon, water, waste, social indicators).
- Experience producing clear ESG reports and recommendations directly usable by clients.
- Familiarity with ESG data platforms or SaaS tools is a strong plus.
- Interest in data-driven environments and willingness to work within a digital platform.
